Welcome to Professional Security Training Institute, 



We are dedicated to training the Citizens of Louisiana, 
as well as Police and Security Officers.


All staff members are registered, licensed, and experienced instructors having many years of teaching experience. Each instructor must attend an Intern Program before licensed.


Our President is Mr. Paul Graffeo. He is retired from the New Orleans Police Department having served more than 29 years. During his tenure he taught at the New Orleans Police Academy, Loyola University, Tulane University, Nicholls State University, throughout the United States for the International Association of Chiefs of Police and has been teaching security officers since 1984.


Mr. John Pennino retired from the New Orleans Police Department after serving 30 years. During his tenure he taught firearms and was a member of the N.O.P.D. Shooting Team for many years. He has taught numerous police departments and has been associated with Professional Security Training Institute since 1986 teaching Firearms, Classroom Training, Baton, and Criminal Justice.


Mr. Frank Saboe, a former police officer, has many years of teaching experience. He taught at the American College Institute, Lawton College, Orleans Regional Security Institute, and has been a staff member of Professional Security Training since 1988. He is one of the Leading Senior Baton Instructors in Louisiana and is registered with the Louisiana Board of Private Security Examiners as a classroom and baton instructor.


Mr. Michael Lentz is our executive director. He has a Bachelor degree from Harding University. He is retired as a Lieutenant from the New Orleans Police Department after having served 29 years. During his career, he was a certified civil service instructor and examiner; he served in all police districts as a police officer and supervisor, concentrating on investigations, crisis management, and criminal & civil actions. He commanded various specialized units including Auto Theft, Crime Analysis, Child Abuse, Asset Forfeiture, and Technical Support. He briefly served as Bureau Chief of Ground Transportation Department for the City of New Orleans. He is a NRA certified pistol instructor and Personal Protection Inside the Home instructor. He is registered with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners as a classroom instructor and firearms instructor. He is also state certified in the use of a PR-24 and the expandable baton.


Mr. Donald Duke was a member of the New Orleans Police Department from 1961 to 1981. He has been retired as a Sergeant  and was assigned to the Training Academy as a firearms instructor from 1964 thru 1979. He was a New Orleans Police Department Ramge Master from 1968 thru 1979. During this time, he trained and/or supervised the training of over 2000 Recruits for the New Orleans Police Department, the U.S. Armed Forces Military Police, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department, the Slidell Police Department, the St. Bernard Sheriff's Department, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Department, the Gretna Police Department, the Harbor Police Department, and the Louisiana State Troopers.


Mr. James P. Baldassaro has been a staff member of Professional Security Training since 2005. He is an NRA certified pistol instructor. He is registered with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners as a certified expandable baton and PR-24 instructor. He is a certified Louisiana State Police Concealed Handgun instructor. 


Mrs. Bettie Minor Antonio is a retired member of the New Orleans Police Department after serving 35 years. She has been teaching since 1984. She has taught at Jefferson Parish Vo-Tech School, Orleans Regional Security Institute, and has been a member of the staff of Professional Security Training Institute since 2005. Mrs. Antonio is best known for serving in the Special Officers Division of the New Orleans Police Department from 1986 to 2007.


Demi Deleaumont, the Office Manager of Professional Security Training, Inc., conducts our clerical and state board obligations and is the Liaison Officer for P.S.T. and our many dedicated clients.


Karen Saboe, the Office Manager of Professional Security Training, Inc., conducts our clerical and state board obligations and is the Liaison Officer for P.S.T. and our many dedicated clients. She is also interning as a classroom instructor and upon completion, will also be part of our teaching staff.
